We are delighted to announce that CLOU’s Évora Health Center project has won the WAFX ‘Ageing and Health’ award at the 2025 World Architecture Festival (WAF). WAFX celebrates international proposals that embrace cutting-edge design to address major global issues.

The Health Centre of the University of Évora proposes a new model of academic architecture rooted in community and spatial openness. Conceived as a fragmented village beneath a unifying canopy, the scheme creates a series of shaded courtyards, terraces, and informal gathering spaces that extend learning into the public realm. This layout promotes accessibility, interaction, and shared use, fostering stronger ties between the university and its surrounding community.
