Guangzhou Tiande Center is a pioneering entertainment and retail destination in Guangzhou, introducing a bold new concept to the city’s nightlife and shopping scene. Designed by CLOU architects, the project fuses futuristic spatial design with a sci-fi atmosphere, offering immersive contrasts between indoor and outdoor worlds. As a hub for nightclubs, bars, art, and boutique stores, Tiande Center creates a theatrical experience that challenges the standardised retail landscape.

A Landmark for Urban Exploration

Situated in the heart of Guangzhou, Tiande Center redefines commercial and entertainment spaces through the lens of science fiction. Conceived as a “night planet”, the project invites visitors on an immersive journey shaped by futuristic aesthetics, cinematic references, and sharp contrasts of light and materiality.

A New Hub for Nightlife and Culture

More than a shopping mall, Tiande Center is a destination for adult entertainment, nightlife, and cultural exploration. The complex brings together nightclubs, bars, art installations, emerging retail brands, and boutique stores, offering visitors a diverse and layered experience. It introduces a fresh, experimental typology into the city, adding vibrancy and diversity to an otherwise standardised retail landscape.

Theatrical and Flexible Spaces

At its core, a multi-functional atrium acts as a flexible stage for art exhibitions, live performances, and events. CLOU architects approached the project as a theatrical setting, where visitors become active participants in a dynamic, ever-changing experience.

The Interstellar Transit Hub

The upper levels evoke a sci-fi inspired interstellar transit hub, anchored by a prominent spatial satellite element that organises circulation and offers visual orientation. This landmark feature reinforces the theme of exploration and discovery throughout the building.

Immersive Lightscapes and Cinematic Atmosphere

Through sophisticated lighting strategies and material selection, Tiande Center transforms from day to night, creating an immersive world of cinematic references and sensory engagement. The design blurs the boundary between entertainment and architecture, setting the stage for a new generation of urban experiences.
