A looped terraced clubhouse blends architecture and topography at the heart of a Chongqing villa community.

A Clubhouse Embedded in the Landscape
Located on the outskirts of Chongqing, Nanshan Clubhouse anchors a luxury villa development alongside a 12,000 sqm hotel and 13,000 sqm retail street. Set within landscaped gardens, the 4,000 sqm clubhouse and show suite follow the site’s sloping terrain from the upper entrance to its lowest point. Instead of levelling the land, the design introduces multiple ground levels and access points.

Terraced Design Strategy
The clubhouse is conceived as a continuous loop, with folded surfaces that echo the site’s topography. Multiple entry points allow the architecture to step down with the landscape, enhancing spatial variation and views.

Integrated Functions
Inside, a sequence of interconnected programmes includes the showroom, sales office, gym, pool, restaurant, café and retail. These are arranged to reflect the landscape’s flow, forming a varied spatial experience.

Retail and Hotel Connections
A 13,000 sqm commercial street and 12,000 sqm hotel are integrated into the garden layout, extending the project’s leisure and hospitality offering across a cohesive terraced setting.
