Where Tranquillity Meets Modern Hospitality in the Heart of Nature

Strategically Located in Wenzhou’s Scenic West, this boutique hotel integrates nature, leisure and cultural programming. Surrounded by the Yangyi Golf Club, Yangyi Reservoir, and Forest Park, the hotel is envisioned as a serene, resort-style retreat offering event facilities, family-friendly experiences, and boutique hospitality. CLOU architects combine layered public spaces and elevated design to frame mountain and water views while accommodating a broad range of users and activities.

A Destination Defined by Landscape

Set within Wenzhou’s mountainous Shan Shui landscape and adjacent to a reservoir, golf club and forest park, the hotel is immersed in natural surroundings. The building massing is lifted to maximise views and create open-air platforms that allow the landscape to flow beneath and around the architecture. This topographical strategy enhances the resort’s identity as a destination that feels both remote and accessible.

Social-Oriented Programming

The hotel is tailored to three primary user groups: families seeking restful holidays away from the city; groups of friends taking short weekend trips for recreation and relaxation; and couples or organisers of weddings and events looking for scenic backdrops and well-equipped indoor-outdoor venues. Key functions are arranged to support this market mix, including a ballroom for up to 500 guests, a rooftop area for family gatherings, and leisure spaces that extend the weekend escape experience into the natural environment.

Boutique Character, beyond Luxury

Instead of traditional luxury, the design focuses on a boutique experience, combining refined spatial sequences, artistic interiors and views into nature. The hotel hosts 148 rooms across five upper levels, supported by a generous lounge and dining areas on mid-level floors. A pool and spa, children’s play zones and F&B outlets are incorporated to ensure comfort for guests of all ages.

Integrated Retail and Public Activity

A compact retail programme activates the lower levels, opening up to the front plaza and connecting to the community through cafés and shops. This layering of public and private realms enhances the hotel’s urban interface while maintaining its identity as a tranquil escape.

Spatial Efficiency and Experience

The building’s total gross floor area of 31,723 sqm includes over 22,000 sqm above ground. Retail space is concentrated on the first and second floors, while hotel amenities including dining, wellness and events are distributed across levels 3 to 5. Basement parking accommodates 250 vehicles, ensuring accessibility for large-scale events without interrupting the pedestrian experience on the plaza.
