On 22 January 2022, the annual award ceremony of AIA Shanghai | Beijing Design Excellence Awards were held at the Langham Hotel in Xintiandi, Shanghai. CLOU’s Sanya Farm lab have won two awards in this year’s competition. CLOU’s founder Jan Clostermann and director Li Lin attended the award ceremony.

Sanya Farm Lab designed by CLOU has won special awards: as top-two of 51 winners, it has won the Silver Award for Best of Show Architecture Award; In addition, it has also been awarded the Honor Award for Architecture Education.

The AIA Shanghai | Beijing Design Awards were founded in 2018. The AIA Shanghai / Beijing Design Excellence Awards Program showcases innovation in architecture, interior architecture and urban planning. All submissions were judged by an International Master Jury comprised of leading figures from around the world, a unique blend of mainland and international architects, academics and urbanists.
